The Chairperson OF Entertainment And Media Committee of PHD Chamber Sandeep Marwah has been the first Indian copped as Co President of Jury at Film Festival at Budapest Hungary. He is the first Indian to be honored with ShootForEarth Award at Hungary informed Suman Jyoti Khaitan President of PHD Chamber of Commerce during the meeting of management Committee.

Sandeep Marwah has been nominated as the President of Indo Hungarian Film Association by the Hungarian Film Fraternity. He was also invited to the National Television for an interview which was live to whole of Europe.

IFTC Announced 78th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films



IFTC-International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios announced the launching of 78th Edition of AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films to be held at studios campus on Friday, the 17th May 2013 with few selected films from the 78th batch of Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City.

“A large number of films with different subjects and ideas were produced and directed in the 78th batch of AAFT, now time has come to showcase them to the World through this most popular festival of short films” said Sandeep Marwah President of IFTC.

The selection committee consisting of producers, directors, cinematographers, editors and journalist are going to select the final screening of few films out of the huge lot of films received. IFTC is one of the most prestigious body consisting of members from all over the World.

 

World Press Freedom Day Celebrated At Marwah Studios

World Press Freedom Day celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2013. The Day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in December 1993, following the recommendation of UNESCO’s General Conference. It is an opportunity to celebrate the fundamental principles of press freedom, assess the state of press freedom throughout the world, defend the media from attacks on their independence and pay tribute to journalists who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

AAFT Announces 78th Edition of Short Films Festival



New Delhi.12th May: Never ever any organization in the World has celebrated 78th Edition of festival earlier, it is only AAFT which is going to celebrate 78th Edition of Festival of Short Digital Films” said Sandeep Marwah excitedly while announcing the festival.

International Film And Television Club was framed twenty years back to give value addition to media education at AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television. IFTC has been conducted series of film, television and media programs to encourage people of the trade and new aspirants from all these years.

The festival will take place at Marwah Studios on Friday the 17th May. All the films produced and directed during 78th batch of AAFT will participate in the festival.

Hindi Bhawan at New Delhi had a different feelings when group of special children performed on the stage after long preparation of five months to be encouraged by their own relatives and friends on the 4th annual day celebration of a non profitable body Bhawani Educational and Children Care Society running school for special children under the name and banner of Prayatn.

Abhimanyu Dange pass out of Asian Academy of Film And Television from 40th& 42nd Batch completed his education and training in Film Direction and Cinematography brought the name of the institution to national level when his name was announced for the best cinematographer for short film for President’s Award 2012 at National Film Awards Function.

“I started my learning from AAFT at Noida, after completing my course in Cinematography I also completed my Production/Direction course. I am indebted to my teachers at AAFT who have injected film making in my blood” said Abhi manyu Dange at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

The World Bank has selected Asian Academy of Film And Television Noida as the Centre of Excellence for the delegates from different Universities, colleges, media institutes and departments to have firsthand knowledge of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry.

Marwah Films And Video Production has churned out number of joint ventures including feature film Coffee House directed by Gurbir Grewal, Nazuk Sa Modd directed by Adeep Tondon, I AM directed by Onir, Riyasat and Derd e Disco Directed by Ashok Tyagi and now under production a Documentary directed by Capucine Henry.

Sandeep Marwah has recently finalized another documentary with Karl Bardosh who is the Master Professor in Tisch School of Arts New York University, USA. The research work is on very soon. Sandeep Marwah has been the first Indian to be nominated as the Co-President of the Jury for any of the film festivals in the country of Hungary. Shoot4Earth an international competition held at Hungary received 110 entries from 11 countries had to be screened for pre jury under the leadership of festival Director Gobor Kindl which later were selected and decided by the international jury under the President ship of Jiri Menzel an Oscar winning Director from Czech Republic.

Asian Academy Announced Scholarship For Creative Hungarians

The visit of renowned media person from India, Sandeep Marwah to Hungary has resulted into stronger relations between two countries when Marwah announced a scholarship of 3 months course for the young creative person to be selected by the board at Budapest.

A responsibility of forming the board and selecting the student has been taken by Justin Viktor who is the producer himself and owns Informacios Tarsadalomert Alapitvany . The two member team includes Tibor Nagyistok of New Media Department of MTVA DSLR Studio.

Delhi, 2nd April, 2013: “I extend my heartiest congratulations to all those who have been associated with the concept of Asian Union and have been working on this subject now for a long time” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nation on 2nd April at India International Centre on the occasion of Asian Unity Day.

“It was from 23 March, to 2 April 1947 that Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru Minister, Sarojini Naidu, C. Rajagopalachary and Maulana Abul kalam Azad and others organized the first Asian Relations Conference in Purana Quila of New Delhi. The fact that they did it in the mist of the Independence Struggle and just 5 months before August 15, 1947 shows the importance the Asian Idea had in their mind. His body was finally found in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley in 2009.

Nineteen years old Indian Sports And Cultural Society in their joint meeting proposed the name of International renowned media person and a world record holder in sports Sandeep Marwah as the chairperson of the society. The decision was accepted by all the members.

AAFT Plans To Celebrate World Health Day

New Delhi: Tuesday, 19 March 2013: For the first time, 10000 children, teacher and parents will be trained in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation 10 (CPR 10) in one day to commemorate World Health Day. The event will be organized on 6th April, 2013, Saturday at Sarvodhya Kanya Vidhyalaya, East Delhi in association with Directorate of Education, Delhi Government.

Addressing a press conference herewith, Padmashri & Dr. BC Roy National Awardee, Dr. KK Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India and Vice-President (Elect) National IMA said that the foundation has already trained more than 35000 people and over 5 lives have been saved in the last three months where the general public could save the persons after sudden death.

Asian Academy of Film And Television has given some of the prominent names to Indian Film Industry in just last few years and one name which has emerged as big one is Atul Sabharwal informed Sandeep Marwah Director of the film school at Noida Film City.

Finally one can get to see how the Ishaqzaade actor Arjun Kapoor of AAFT will look in his touted project Aurangzeb directed by Alumnus of AAFT Atul Sabharwal.

The film has come out with its first look and surprisingly it has got two different poster looks showcasing the actor looking all grim. In one, we get to see Arjun Kapoor in a double role, while in the other one; we have Arjun, Prithviraj, Jackie Shroff and Rishi Kapoor flaunting off the dark looks. It has been heard from sources that Aurangzeb is the remake of the 1978 film Trishul.

. Every character in the poster is carrying a dark and intense look which gives rise to a curiosity in all about the film. Arjun will romance newbie Shasha Agha in the film, who is the daughter of Pakistani actress-singer Salma Agha informed Sandeep Marwah Director of AAFT.

Sandeep Marwah Released The Poetry Book On World Poetry Day



“Poetry contributes to creative diversity, by questioning anew our use of words and things, our modes of perception and understanding of the world” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nation while releasing the poetry book of ADA at Marwah Studios on the World Poetry Day.

Every year on 21 March UNESCO celebrates the World Poetry Day. A decision to proclaim 21 March as World Poetry Day was adopted during the UNESCO’s 30th session held in Paris in 1999.

According to the UNESCO’s decision, the main objective of this action is to support linguistic diversity through poetic expression and to offer endangered languages the opportunity to be heard within their communities. Moreover, this Day is meant to support poetry and related fine arts in all possible ways.

Sixteen different segments were entertained by around 50 young designers. The show was choreographed by Kaushik Ghosh and his professional team of good looking models. After the long workshop of ten days on Dance and Choreography the students of (ASPA) Asian School of Performing arts were more than excited to participate in the Dance presentation program designed for them at the academy at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“We want our acting students to learn and perform and present the talent so that they can gain better confidence during the training period” said Sandeep Marwah Director of Asian School of Performing Arts.

An International Film Festival of short films under the banner “Dream To Cannes-Through 100 Years of Indian Cinema” was inaugurated by Uday K Varma the secretary of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India at PHD Chamber of Commerce at New Delhi jointly designed by Marwah Studios and Directorate of Film Festival.

“We all are celebrating 100 years of Cinema. I extend my heartiest congratulations to the whole film fraternity. The producing of films is now very expensive exercise. Most of the producers are busy in recovering the cost of the film in which sometimes they loose the idea of making of good cinema” reminded Uday K Varma addressing the huge international gathering.

77th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films Inaugurated

 



Showcasing cinema is the ultimate for a film maker. AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films is the only festival in the World touching 77th Edition and festival which happens four times in a year.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios while introducing the guest on the formal inauguration of the AAFT festival of Short Digital Films at Noida Film City.

“I am pleased to be part of this international event. The film festivals encourage young film makers and give them motivation to get involve in more films” said Sumana Mukherjee renowned film maker from Kolkata.

The festival was designed by AAFT. In total more than 2000 films have been screened in last twenty years. 1100 directors from 60 countries have been given opportunity to showcase their debut film in the festival informed Sandeep Marwah.

25 Years of Noida Film City Celebrated at Global Festival of Journalism

“It was in February 1988 when the project of Noida Film City took its full shape for the allotment of plots in the city whereas allotments were made in the month March” recollected Sandeep Marwah Founder of Noida Film City who not only designed the whole project but also persuaded the whole affair with Yogesh Chandra IAS then the Chairman of NOIDA.

Noida Film City is now 25 years old. It was inaugurated by then the Chief Minister Late Vir Bahadur Singh under the supervision of Brijendra Sahay IAS then the Chairperson of Noida. Original there was 12 allotments, but later 4 plots were carved to make it 16.

Global Festival of Journalism Noida is dedicated to 25 years celebration of Noida Film City. “We were first one to be here as Marwah Studios and wanted to be the first one to celebrate 25 years” added Marwah with great enthusiasm. Special events were impressed during GFJN 2013 to count 25 years of Noida Film City.

Exhibition of Cartoons Inaugurated at Global Festival of Journalism Noida

Hundreds of cartoons were displayed during the second day of the Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 in the exhibition hall of Marwah Studios by renowned cartoonist Sudhir Talang.

“Cartoons have become the part of life. One political cartoon has become part of every important newspaper not only in India but abroad too” reminded Sandeep Marwah while introducing Padam Shri Sudhir Talang to the large international audience at the festival.

“I am emotional about my cartoons and especially this exhibition as after many years someone has thought of putting up an exhibition of cartoons” said Sudhir Taland who has been producing cartoons from last 30 years.

Sudhir drew another cartoon of former deputy Prime Minister of India Shri L.K.Advani in the role of journalist then and there to mark respect to political cartoon making.


Valentines Day Part 0f Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013

Three days grand Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2013 came to an end with the presentation of Awards followed by a high powered entertainment program designed & choreographed by the students of Asian School of Media Studies, Asian School of Communication and Asian Academy of Film And Television.

The entertainment programs indicating love and affection actually molded to present Valentines Day, the third day of the festival. A colorful musical dance drama, mimes with social themes, fashion show with ethnic Indian clothes were good enough to celebrate Valentines Day.

An interactive session was organized by the infrastructure committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce under the leadership of Ashish Wig. PHD invited Satyandra Garg IPS Joint Commissioner Delhi Police to give a talk on “Proposed Safety Measures for Women in Public Transport”

The subject was introduced by Suman Jyoti Khaitan President PHD Chamber who stated that there is a need to give rethinking to the unorganized crimes and daily hindrances which women suffer in public transport.

“We are putting our best to provide a comfortable situation to every citizen possible. This is only possible when residents support us in maintaining the law and systems” said Satyandra Garg IPS to the large number of women gathered to discuss their grievances.

“Education is the real remedy. We have to once again indoctrinate moral education in schools and colleges so that we have better citizens joining industries. Three days long 6th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema closed with the announcing of the results by Shonali Bose, renowned film maker from USA and producer of award winning film AMU in the presence of Karl Bardosh writer Director from USA, Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Prof. Kalyan Sarkar festival Director.

Three Different certificates were issued in category Still Picture. The first award went to picture titled THE LIGHT by S.Joseph, second to PLAY WORK WITH SHADOW by Aschie Gupta and third UNITY MAKES WORK FASTER by Preeti Negi.

Special Jury Mention Photo Journalism Award went to INDIA EK AMIR DESH HAI AUR LOG GARIB by Ezaz Ahmed. Special Mention Jury Still Photo went to VAMPHIRE DIASLE by Ambuj Yeadav.

Film Workshop By Renowned Film Maker Shonali Bose

 

 

A USA Based Film Maker Shonali Bose impressed the film students with her way of expression when she was talking to them about her works including feature film AMU at Asian School of Media Studies at Noida Film City.

Amu is her feature film debut which she had written, produced and directed. Amu released in India in January 2005 receiving popular and critical acclaim. It then went on to premier at the Berlin and Toronto Film Festivals amongst many other international festivals.

Shonali Bose has won 7 national and international awards for Amu including the FIPRESCI Critics Award, National Film Award for Best Feature Film in English and Gollapudi Srinivas Award for best first-time director.

6th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Started With Seminar

 

 

“What a unique idea and supported by an international festival on Cellphone cinema, I congratulate Sandeep Marwah and Karl Bardosh for their distinctive works” said Suman Jyoti Khaitan President of PHD Chamber while inaugurating the seminar during the 6th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema.

“It all started when we made our first movie on Cellphone half in India and half in New York seven years back and it turned out to be exceptional. Rest is history” expressed Sandeep Marwah who has been now named as father of Cellphone cinema.

The jam packed hall at PHD Chamber was addressed by Prof. Karl Bardosh who explained the rise and progress of Cellphone cinema in last seven years.

. “Kakaji has left a sealed letter behind him, which he wanted us to read before the release of the film. So we will be opening his last letter either on his birth anniversary, or just before the release,” Ashok Tyagi said.

“The entire nation will hear Kakaji’s voice in the film,” said Tyagi, who had started shooting the film in February and finished it in October,2012.

The film marks the comeback of Sridevi after a 14-year sabbatical The film also features French actor Mehdi Nebbou Adil Hussain, and Priya Anand. Amitabh Bachchan makes a guest appearance in the Hindi version of the film. This film also marks the comeback of Sridevi to Tamil cinema after 26 years.

Sridevi plays the central role of a Pune-based Maharashtrian housewife, who enrolls for an English language course in order to please her husband and family. Shinde wanted her characters to be rooted and so they decided that the family will be Marathi, which is why the film was shot in Pune. Sridevi’s character is inspired from Gauri’s mother.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP AT MARWAH STUDIOS

 

 

Samruddha Jeevan Foundation has more than 1500 blood banks across India. The demand for blood is 1 crore units yearly, but only less than half can be obtained from voluntary blood donors. Samruddha Jeevan Foundation with the support of Live India Channel held a blood donation camp at Marwah Studios on 26th September.  

A lot of enthusiasm could be felt amongst the students of AAFT and ASMS and the faculty alike.  The whole campus came alive with the discussions about the dire necessity of blood for the needy cross the country. The camp was a real success with a lot of participants.

75th AAFT Festival of Films Closes With Retrospective

 

 

The second section of 75th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films was the selection of some of the finest films from the last 74 edition of the festival consisting of 14 films by different directors who have already created a niche for themselves in the industry.    

“We have some of the best selection of films from all over the World as the festival has more than 1500 films in its entry list from makers of 90 countries in two English and Hindi language” stated Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival and producer of largest number of short films in the World. 

“Seeing achievements today I am proud to be associated with Marwah Studios” said Dalbir Singh National Secretary All India Congress Committee inaugurating the festival retrospective. “What Sandeep Marwah has done it is even hard to think. His far sightedness has given country a new film city and followed by many extra ordinary achievements” expressed Deo Dutt former Chairman Noida emotionally.

The whole auditorium was bubbling with energy and excitement when every student of acting of Asian School Of Performing Arts was given 3 minutes to perform a piece of acting before the audience with full dress and complete character makeup. 

Asian School of Performing Arts under the president ship of Sandeep Marwah started a new concept of promoting and developing acting students by way of different colorful exercises to built up their confidence and personality. 

“I am more than satisfied with the planning and designing of the programs” said Sandeep Marwah. “we are giving our best to these acting students including workshops in dance and portfolios by a professional photographers” added Satish Anand Dean ASPA.

First Board Meeting Of 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012 At Marwah

 

 

The first board meeting of 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012 took place at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City to discuss the final preparation of an international event which has already created a place for itself under the leadership of renowned media person Sandeep Marwah who is also the President of International Film And Television Club. 

The meeting was attended by all the representative of different organizations associated with the Global Film Festival from very beginning including AAFT, ASMS, ABS, ASC, ASGA, ASPA, IFTC, IFTRC, WPDRF, ICFF, IPBF, PJNF, AAA, SS and Marwah Studios, Marwah Film & Video Production, Asian Film Library, SRML, etc. 

It was resolved that the 5th Global Film Festival will take place on 5th, 6th and 7th of November 2012 at Noida Film City. Since all festivals of the World have created brand because of the fixed location like Cannes Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival, Tokyo Film Festival, London Film Festival, New York Film Festival, Montreal Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival, Vancouver Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Festival etc.

World Peace Development and Research Foundation of Asian Society of Film And Television promoted by renowned international media person Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios conducted its first major meeting on the cooperative movement of India. The meeting was chaired by the renowned freedom fighter, former minister of Maharashtra and former Rajya Sabha Member Shivaji Rao Patil.

The World Peace Development and Research Foundation (WPDRF) of Asian Society of Film And Television (ASFT) now has been recognized by the International Cooperative Alliance, an international apex body of cooperatives  to promote and develop the concept of cooperative societies in the World informed Sandeep Marwah President of the Foundation. 

WPDRF has planned two days an international conference on the cooperative movement at New Delhi. A large number of international organizations have sent their consent to be part of this World Congress.

“AAFT Festival of Short Digital Film is the only festival in the World which has now touched the 75th Edition and happens four times in a year” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival. “The festival has given opportunity to more than 1100 Directors to show case their debut films in this festival in last 19 years of its existence” Marwah added. 

The festival so far has been attended by young film makers of 90 countries in last 19 years. More than 1500 films have participated in this festival in different editions.

Concept of Asian Union is to be Highlighted-Sandeep Marwah

International Day against Nuclear Test Discussions At WPDRF

 

United Nations General Assembly declared 29 August the International Day against Nuclear Tests by unanimously adopting resolution .The resolution calls for increasing awareness and education about the effects of nuclear weapon test explosions or any other nuclear explosions and the need for their cessation as one of the means of achieving the goal of a nuclear-weapon-free world.

”The Day is meant to galvanize the United Nations, Member States, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, academic institutions, youth networks and the media to inform, educate and advocate the necessity of banning nuclear weapon tests as a valuable step towards achieving a safer world” said Sandeep Marwah  President of World Peace Development And Research Foundation.

I Am were screened at PHD house as a tribute to Indian Cinema on the occasion of celebration of 100 years of Cinema for the large number of enthusiastic ordinance on Saturday.

The program was inaugurated by the renowned screen writer and director, Dadasaheb Phalke Award Winner Shyam Benegal, all time favorite Sharmila Tagore, National Award winner Actor Farouq Sheikh and this year best film award winner Sanjay Suri. “we are indebted to all the dignities who have added a lot of strength to the program with their presence” stated Sandeep Somany President of PHD.

Acting Workshop At ASPA By Rakesh Bedi

 

 

In a series of guest ASPA- Asian School Of Performing Arts a part of AAFT- Asian Academy Of Film And Television invited a renowned actor Rakesh Bedi for a full day workshop and to have interaction with the students of One Year acting course at Marwah Studios. 

“To know more about acting, film industry and the environment prevailing in the television industry it is not only important but essential to have interface with the working professionals” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios introducing the guest to the acting students.  

Rakesh Bedi is an Indian film actor and television personality. He started his career as a supporting actor in the 1979 film Hamare Tumhare starring Sanjeev Kumar, and then went on to act in over 150 films and a couple of TV serials. Some of his most memorable roles were in the 1981 film Chashme Buddoor and in the TV serials Shrimaan Shrimati and Yes Boss, Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi. He had a little role in Gulzar’s Mere Apne  and he has also acted in a number of Punjabi movies such as Main tu assi tussi.

“When student of cinema makes a good film I would like to give credit to both the student and his education and training at ASMS” said Shyam Banegal at the inauguration of 8th Festival of short films at Marwah Studios Noida Film City.

“This may be my first visit to ASMS but I am thoroughly impressed by the vibrating film environment in the campus” added Shyam Benegal

The excitement of the students, staff and faculty was like a sun rise with the coming of Shyam Benegal who saw some of the student’s film and appreciated their work of fiction and documentary.

Asian School Of Media Studies celebrated its 8th Festival of Short Films at Marwah Studios with great pomp and show inaugurated by the legend of Indian film industry Shyam Benegal here at Noida. 

“It’s a paradise of Cinema, unbelievable work has been done my heartiest congratulations to Sandeep Marwah for bringing Cinema culture to the north of India” said Shyam Benegal while lighting the inaugural lamp of 8th festival of short films.

10TH EDITION OF WE CARE FILMFEST ANNOUNCED

 

Brotherhood in association with the National Trust, the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan (UNIC), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), the Global Rainbow Foundation and the Rapiscan Systems is organizing tenth edition of We Care Film Festival.

”The We Care Film Festival is an annual international traveling and educational film festival of short films and documentaries on disability issues. It travels to educational institutions and disability organizations aimed at sensitizing and engaging youth in the disability sector nationally and internationally” informed Sandeep Marwah President of the festival.

”The festival is an advocacy tool that seeks to bring about attitudinal and behavioral changes on approaches to disability, promote the inclusion of people with disabilities and rid people of misconceptions, myths and prejudices surrounding disability issues. The festival seeks to promote the rights of persons with disabilities as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD)” stated Satish Kapoor Director of the festival.

In less than a span of nine years, this film festival has become a brand, raising awareness on disability rights issues nationally and internationally.

The Festival’s uniqueness lies in the fact that audiences not only to watch but also rate each short film and documentary which gives an alternate opinion on the quality, content and treatment. An independent jury judges the films on the basis of these ratings.

First Poster Launched For International Sufi Film Festival

8th ASMS Short Film Festival Fixed For August

 

 

The 8th Short Film Festival of Asian School Of Media Studies is now fixed for 13th and 14th of August, 2012 at Marwah Studios Campus to project and highlight the works of students of ASMS.

“The department of Cinema, Multi Media, Mass Communication and Electronic Media will be presenting their films in these two days. The festival will have fictions, documentaries, music videos, advertisements as entries” said Ashok Tyagi Jt. Director ASMS and Festival Director.

The committee consisting of journalist, film makers, educators and socialites will be selecting the final films for screening on the final day. The opening and closing day will be celebrated in the presence of big wigs of Indian Cinema.

An award winning director, producer and a well-known name in news anchoring and short films, Preeti Tripathi is a renowned television personality in Madhya Pradesh. She graduated in Film / TV Production & Direction from “The Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT)”, NOIDA. In addition, she acquired a Master’s degree in English Literature; Preeti worked as a senior newsreader with Bhopal Doordarshan for fifteen years. Thereafter, she was the Head of Programming at BIG 92.7 FM-Radio, the initiative of Reliance Ad labs- at Bhopal.

Over the past decade and a half she has produced TV software across genres (documentaries, tele-films, TV Series, Variety Entertainment shows, Ad-films for different channels of Doordarshan and others. To date, Preeti has produced over 50 non-fiction and fiction films, besides producing TV series & Corporate films.

Her name features among the leading women of Madhya Pradesh and is respected for her noteworthy contribution to her state and country. In 2006, her maiden Play “Azeezan” (based on the first war of independence-1857) was staged at Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal. Subsequently, it traveled to various cities of MP and is now slated to be made into a mega feature film shortly. The launch of her film will be at IFFTAC 2012.

Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi is the Ambassador of our all Mass communication and journalism courses being conducted at Asian Education Group be it Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Asian School of Media Studies , Asian Business School or Asian School Of Communication” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Group.

He was elected to Lok Sabha in 1998 from Rampur. In 1998 he was appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and was also given responsibility over the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

As of 2010, he is a National Vice-President of BJP, and is the party’s most prominent Muslim member. For the second time now he is a member of the Rajya Sabha from Uttar Pradesh. He has written two books: Syah in 1991 and Danga in 1998.

A senior reporter from AAJ TAK TV news channel, Shams Tahir Khan visited Asian School of Media Studies and shared his valuable experience with students in a workshop organized by the Department of Electronic Media.

While sharing his experience with ASMS students Shams Tahir Khan emphasized on sensible reporting which should be cross checked by the proven facts and then only a report should be broadcasted. Moreover he said a reporter should be sensitive enough to handle the crime news, specially related to murder and rape cases.

Crime reporting has been a very attractive beat for young reporters whosoever are entering into the profession of journalism but at the same time they should be conscious of its effects. A reporter should not be carried away with the subject.

Students were thrilled and spellbound. They asked tons of questions related to crime reporting. The veteran crime reporter replied to every query and assured the students a beginors help. The workshop was conducted by Sushil Bharti HOD Electronic Media Department.

Sandeep Marwah Highlighted at PHD Management Meet

 

The sixth meeting of new management committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce highlighted Sandeep Marwah the Chairperson of Entertainment and Media Committee of the chamber for his untiring efforts in the field of film, television and media.

“We are proud of our Chairperson of M&E Committee Sandeep Marwah who has been bestowed upon the prime award of Poland ‘Gate Of Freedom’ at Gdansk Film Festival for bringing global awareness to Indian Cinema ”said Sandip Somany President of the Chamber.

Sandeep Marwah is the first ever Indian film maker to be nominated as jury member in Poland. A special segment was designed for the 11 films of Marwah at the festival which was later followed by Master class ever taken by any Indian film maker.

All this happened when National Film Awards were given at New Delhi to the best feature film I Am where Marwah Studios is the Co-Producer of the film.

The senior Vice President Suman Jyoti Khaitan, Vice President Sharad Jaipuria, Secretary General Susmita Shekhar, Past President Salil Bhandari, Legal Advisor P.K. Sharma were present on the occasion. There was huge round of applause by all the Chairpersons of 57 committees and a large august gathering.

The renowned Still Photographer Vishal Saxena from Mumbai was the guest of honor who planned the inaugural shots in the studios. “I had the privileged to shoot best of the stars of Indian Film Industry especially Bollywood, but preparing portfolios of new aspirants always be a very challenging task” said Vishal Saxena.

Presenting his job with stars like Rithwik Roshan, Madhuri Dixit, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Prinka Chopra, Kartina Kaif, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, and many others motivated the film, television and media students to come forward in still photography.

 

Viva Foundation Joined Hands with ICFF

 

A non profit organization under the name and banner of Viva Foundation, Mumbai mastered by Saana Khan has joined hands with International Children’s Film Forum here at Noida Film City.

International Children’s Film Forum a body of Marwah Studios- A Creative Enterprises believes in educating promoting Indian traditions and culture through films. This Forum believes that moving picture could play significant role in shaping the mind, body and character of younger children.

“We trust that films are the most powerful medium of mass communication and a message can be transferred easily through it” said Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of ICFF. Making films on children’s subject, screening of films in slums, villages, schools, colleges, organizing festivals is a regular feature of the forum.

ICCF is also running 9 ‘Apna Schools’ for unprivileged Children in Noida and 2 centers of ‘Prayatn’ in Delhi for students suffering from one or other disability.

Sandeep Marwah In Hall Of Fame At 37th Gdynia Film Festival

 

 

A Photo exhibition of who’s who of film makers and personalities of the World was inaugurated during the 37th Gdynia Film Festival in the most prestigious hall of Gdynia at Riwiera. The photos were the splendid collection of renowned photographer of Poland Pietkiewicz Henryk.

The exhibition suddenly attracted large audience when international record holder Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios from Bollywood India, inaugurated the evening session containing his own portrait in the Hall of Fame.

Henryk Pietiewicz displayed all the photos of well known people of the World which he has managed during his tenure as photographer. Sandeep Marwah Special Invitee At 37th Gdynia Film Festival

 

 

Indian film Producer, educator and studios owner Sandeep Marwah and Reena Marwah were the special invitee at the 37th Gdynia Film Festival at Gdynia Poland. Sandeep Marwah was representing Indian film fraternity at the opening of the festival this time as he is already on the tour to propagate the 100 years of Indian cinema.

The festival opening was attended by the known names of Polish Cinema and other important film makers Dorota Kędzierzawska, director and screenwriter (“Nothing”, “Time to Die”, “Tomorrow Will Be Better”) Dorota Kędzierzawska,
Caroline J. Libresco – film producer, non-American cinema programmer at the Sundance Film Festival, Michał Leszczyłowski – editor, director;
Waldemar Kalinowski – production designer, location designer, works in Hollywood;

Others who were present there were Stephen Rea – Irish theatre, film and television actor; Adam Sikora – camera operator, director, screenwriter; Ewa Wiśniewska – film and theatre actress; Zygmunt Miłoszewski – writer, journalist. Marcina Wrona, film, theatre and television director and screenwriter. Sandeep Marwah the President of Marwah Studios and record holder of producing largest number of short films in the World. The number has crossed 1800 films. He is on the jury of 10th edition of Gdansk Docfilm Festival 2012 at Gdansk, Poland.

A special section has been carved out in the Gdansk Docfilm Festival to showcase the films produced by Sandeep Marwah. He has given a wonderful opportunity to more than 1500 new trained directors and approx. 8000 technicians and artist from 87 countries to learn the film culture while making the films under the banner Marwah Films And Video Productions.

The 10th Edition of Gdansk DocFilm Festival started here in Gdansk, Poland with great pomp and show. The festival has received more than 250 films from all over the World.
The selected films are to be shown from 2nd to 6th May in different theatres in the city.

This is for the first time in last ten years when an Indian film maker is on the board of Jury of Gdansk Doc Film Festival” said Kazimierz Beer, the director of the festival. The renowned International media person and President of Marwah Studios Sandeep Marwah has been nominated as the jury member for the forth coming Gdansk Documentary film festival scheduled to be held from 2nd May to 6th May 2012 at Gdansk, Poland.

100 years of Indian Cinema- Star Galaxy At Pune

 

To mark the centenary year of Indian movies, a 5-day cultural festival is being organised at Pune's Vasantrao Bagul Garden, Sahakarnagar. This event is organised by Pune Navratra Mahotsav Trust President and PMC corporator Shri Aba Bagul which will be inaugurated on Sunday 29, April at 5:30 pm at the hands of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Prithvirajji Chavan. Sandeep Marwah Invited By The Minister Of Nepal

 

 

“A list of events and participations has been handed over to Raj Kishor Yadav, Minister of Information and Communications, Government of Nepal to promote film, television and media activities between India and Nepal in the next few months” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios, who was there at Kathmandu on the invitation of I & C Minister of Nepal.

It will all start with the festival of Nepali Films at New Delhi. This is going to be the first ever film festival of Nepali films in India at Noida Film City. We have requested the minister of Information and communication to be the chief guest of the event added Marwah.

The festival will be followed by the announcement of the two seats for scholarship for short term courses in (acting & Presentation) and (Still Photography & journalism) at Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Noida for which the minister will decide the two deserving candidates from Nepal.

A festival of films on disability WECARE will also be planned at Kathmandu in short period of time for which the films have already been decided.

 

Noida To Nepal- Integration Through Media Activities-Sandeep Marwah

 

“To honor the 100 years of Indian Cinema, We are here to built up and develop the relation between two countries India and Nepal through Film, Television and Media. We are ready to adjust and accommodate the suggestions provided by the film, television and media persons of this country for the betterment of the joint programs of entertainment industry” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of Entertainment and Media committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce, a 107 year old organization to support the industry.

“We are planning to have two film festivals in Kathmandu, related to ‘Short Digital Films’ and other one ‘WECARE’ a festival of the films on Disability” added Marwah who is also the founder of Film City Noida and Director of Asian Academy Of Film And Television, a Premier film school of the India.

We want to offer the facilities of Noida Film City to all the film makers of Nepal at a much economical rates and want to use the locations of Nepal for our productions. A study tour is being planned by AAFT Asian Academy Of Film And Television for its students to visit the locations of this area.

We want the film associations which are looking more facilities from Ministry of Information and Broadcasting; Government of India, can join PHD Chamber of Commerce for better say. We want Nepali Film Association to come forward in helping us in organizing Festival Of Nepali Films in India.

AAFT can offer its facilities to all those film makers who want to make short films on the subject of Disability and Children’s issue under International Children’s Film Forum at no cost. We are also looking for joint ventures with Nepali film makers for a full length feature films.

 

Sandeep Marwah Nominated Patron To Uttarakhand Film Association

 

 

An association of around 400 film persons in the state of Uttarakhand nominated an International Media Person Sandeep Marwah, the President of Marwah Studios and Founder of Film City Noida as its Chief Patron to guide them better towards their goals.

Sandeep Marwah who is five times World record holder, producer of 1800 short films and teacher to 9000 media professionals accepted this honor during his visit to Dehradun.

Dehradun Can Be Part Of Delhi Media Activities-Sandeep Marwah

 

 

“We are here to look into the problems and requirements of film, television and media persons who want to make their suggestions for the betterment of this industry “said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of Entertainment and Media committee of PHD Chamber of Commerce, a 107 year old organization to support the industry.

“We are planning to have two festivals in Dehradun related to Short Digital Films and other one WECARE which is related to films on Disability” added Marwah who is also the founder of Film City Noida and Director of Asian Academy Of Film And Television, a Premier film school of the country.

We want to offer the facilities of Noida Film City to all the film makers of this city at a much economical rates and want to use the locations of Uttrakhand for our productions. A study tour is being planned by AAFT for its students to visit the locations of this area.

We want the film associations which are looking more facilities from Ministry of Information And Broadcasting can join PHD Chamber for better say.

AAFT can offer its facilities to all those film makers who want to make short films on the subject of Disability and Children’s issue under International Children’s Film Forum.

 

NINTH YEAR OF WE CARE FILM FESTIVAL OF AAFT

 

 

“It’s been 9th year that we are working on the subject of disability through a special designed festival called WE CARE” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and the festival. Idea is to propagate this cause and reach to the maximum number of people to sensitize about disability added Marwah while introducing the program.

We have so far visited all over India and conducted more than 85 shows of best of the films along with different organizations to spread our motive to the whole country ”said Satish Kapoor Director of We care Festival.

It is not only Indian problem but an international issue. Every one must start thinking about how to get involved in promoting and creating awareness on this subject.” said Ronald Mosle from Germany.

The festival is supported by AAFT, Brotherhood an NGO, United Nation Information Centre of UN, National Trust of Government of India, International Film And Television Club, International Public Broadcasting Forum.

Union Minister Shriprakash Jaiswal launches Rama Pandey’s ‘Begum Bano aur Khatoone.

 

Powerful writing can change the thinking of the people of the Nation, this is what this book should do. Workshop On Journalism By Robert Beers At ASMS

 

 

A renowned journalist and film maker and now Course Leader of department of International Journalism at University of Central Lancashire, Preston, UK conducted a special workshop and interaction with the students of Asian Academy of Film And Television & Asian School of Media Studies & Asian School Of Communication at Noida Film City.

“A wonderful opportunity has been brought for the students of media to earn British Degree in India by learning under Asian School Of Communication” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and University Of Central Lancashire Media India.

KODAK Cinematography Workshop At ASMS

 

 

“We are happy to join hands with International company Kodak. These kind of workshops enhance the level of education” said Sandeep Marwah President Of Marwah Studios while inaugurating the five full days Cinematography workshop at Noida Film City.

“Idea of this workshop is to go beyond the syllabus of Camera at Asian School Of Media Studies. Teach them out of your professional experience and train them in new equipment and techniques” said Ashok Tyagi film director and Joint Director Department of Cinema at ASMS.

“The enthusiasm of the students at ASMS is worth praising. The zest to learn more is the key to a successful film maker” said Sanjeev Sood a renowned Cinematographer who has spent 20 years in the industry with Cameras. Students got wonderful opportunity to work on Cine Camera.

 

Music Release of Ab Hoga Dharna Unlimited At Marwah Studios

 

 

A grand event was organized by Asian Academy Of Film And Television on the release of music of new film Ab Hoga Dharna Unlimited a day before the release of the film at the campus where the Producer Director Deepak Tanwar recognized the efforts of students of the institution who have worked in the film.

“We are obliged to the students of AAFT and ASMS who have contributed to the film” said Deepak Tanwar. “I am indebted to my alma matter AAFT for every bit of my success” said Sunil Parashar the creative director of the film who is also looking after the publicity of the film.

Present on the occasion Omkar Nath Manakpuri ( Natha of Pipli fame) said that Marwah Studios has been lucky for me as my last film Pipli which was shot at Marwah Studios was the Oscar Entry from India. My role in the film is once again very challenging in Ab Hoga Dharna Unlimited.

 

French Film Maker Capucine Henry At AAFT

 

 

Asian Academy Of Film And Television now one of the preeminent film and television schools of the World. It attracts not only students but film makers and media persons also from all over the World. In a series of programs planned during the Platinum Jubilee celebration the Director Sandeep Marwah invited French Film Maker Capucine Henry Redon to the campus to have interface with the students.

“It my privileged to be at AAFT during Platinum Jubilee batch” said Capucine while expressing her experience of journalism and then her transformation as film maker to the media students. “Films are the best way to learn the culture of the country. I am so impressed and daunted by the Indian culture and ethnicity that I want to make series of films in India. I need your support and I believe in promoting young talent” she added.

Sandeep Marwah announced that they will work together with the French film maker to produce an international level documentary soon. Later Marwah presented a life membership of International Film And Television Club to the French Director.

Two books namenly ‘Four Seasons Salads’ and ‘Soups’ written by Chef Deveder Kumar published by Shubhi Publications making Devender as writer of four books by now. “It has always been my passion to experiment with the variety of salads and preparation of soups, I have given simple recipes to my reader so that they can also do the same” said Devender in his introductory speech.

The newly elected President of the Apex body of Indian Film Industry- Film Federation of India Vinod Lamba expressed his desire to support the prestigious institute to the best.

“AAFT has brought many laurels to India and we all wish a bigger and brighter future of the Institution.” said K. Subramanian Chairman and Managing Director of BECIL, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

The excitement and enthusiasm is prevailing in the campus as many special occasions and programs have been designed during this batch. In all more than twenty media organizations have been formed to support education and training at AAFT. It has been rated as the first ten best film schools of the World.
